Your plugin worked fine for me, but a lot of people have problems with getting the media keys to work on spotify. I’ve found a simple solution. In windows go to start / config / Windows sideshow disable windows sideshow for media player. This will disable a background service for windows media player. After this mediakeys will react to spotify like desired. So attention of media keys go’s to spotify and not to windows media player. Might want to put this on the website. I came across your website on my search to solve the problem of the mediabuttons.

When i click on it – It just loads for a microsecond and then nothing happens. I created a new folder called S15
in my “programs” in “C”. But even there – it works against me. Where i’m doing wrong Paul?

First of all i’d like to thank you for the awesome plugin! used it for a long time now and it’s just amazing!
Second, since the latest update to the “logitech gaming software” the play/pause, stop, next and previous buttons doesnt work on my G15 keyboard for Spotify anymore. If i’m not misstaken S15 used to make that magic happen? will there be a update to solve this?

Thanks, but S15 didn’t make the playback buttons work, they send system key codes that spotify responds to – at times I have noticed that feature break in spotify it may be a temporary issue on their part.

Thank you very much for this app! Shame it was so hard to find with google. This also works with logitech z-10 speakers. Songname scrolling is bit laggy, perhaps double buffering or something fix it(Though I don’t know how these applets made since I can’t find api anywhere)? Buttons work nicely too.

Great plugin for showing what’s playing, but after a reinstall of my system i can’t get the controlpanel on my G15 to work with spotify.. such as pause/play, next/previous etc .. any pro tip to this problem?
Did you install all the associated Logitech software? Failing that, I used to notice (don’t actually have the G15 any more) that after some spotify updates the media buttons did not work. However that was ages ago I suspect they fixed it and you a probably just missing some of the software logitech provides to map the custom/media buttons.
I’ve installed all new drivers .. worked last week, before my re-install of everything, but not now. It bugs me. :/ i didn’t need any extra plugins or anything like this before .. same goes for pausing VLC-player .. but hey.. i can manage..
If it also applies to VLC (and wmplayer) then it probably is some driver or utility (or a feature that needs enabling?)

Generally it works, it may be that you’re missing some logitech software or have an option turned off. I often had sporadic issues but it was never due to the S15 app.
I had the same issue and I fixed it by uninstalling the “Logitech gaming software 8.12″ and installing the former version which is “GamePanel Software 3.06″
And now I have my play/pause buttons back… go figure O_o

I found a fix for the Media buttons that don’t work…
You need to simply go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Windows Sideshow
Then disable all the check boxes for the Windows Media Player row… Then it will work! (this is with Logitech Gaming Software 8.12.030)

Great applet, this is the only spotify app I’ve found for my g510. I’ve seen brilliant one for the g19 which has lots of information. Any change of future updates on this to be able to change what is shown? For example, a few lines which say track title, album title and artist? Still, this is a great app, thanks for it
Hey, thanks for the comment. The main factor preventing any further development is that my G15 broke about 3 years ago and at the time I had to replace it with a completely different keyboard. If anyone ever wants to provide hardware to allow me to implement and test other feature then I would definitely not object, but otherwise for that reason there are not likely to be any updates…

I just bought the logitech g510, but unfortunately your app didn’t work very long for me.
I disabled the windows sideshow and ran the s15.exe file with no success, though I had it working for a few second and then it stopped.
As shawn mentioned about a month ago, the exe file loads for a very small moment and then nothing happens.
What am I doing wrong?

Unfortunately I don’t know what the problem is, I no longer have any logitech devices with screens and so cannot troubleshoot any problems.
Too bad this isn’t getting updated any more, it ain’t working for me, if anyone knows anything else please tell
